About delivery charges 

 The delivery charge does vary with each Seller.

 As a fact, Sellers do incur higher shipping expenses, especially on low value products. In these  cases, taking a nominal charge for delivery would help them to offset logistics expenses. Some  Sellers might simply waive off the delivery rates, if you shop for a pre-defined value.

 For shipping, user should pay the minimum charge from Rs.45 ends with Rs.65 is essential for all the Surabooks buyers.

 

Why delivery dates do not correspond to X-Y business days, delivery timeline?

It might be that our courier partners or the Seller might have a holiday right between the days of placing the order to the delivery date that is based on timelines, which are shown on the product page. Here, an additional day is added to estimated date. Some Sellers and courier partners might have holidays on Sundays which is factored in the delivery dates.

 

Estimated delivery time

Generally Sellers procure items and ship them within the specified time as mentioned in the product page. The business days exclude Sundays and public holidays.

The estimated delivery time does depend on following aspects:

·         Seller providing the product.

·         Seller having product stock.

·         Destination where the order is to be shipped, including the Seller location.

 

Are there hidden expenses (Octroi, sales tax, etc.) on products sold to SURABOOKS.COM by Sellers?

No. There are no hidden charges for your purchases with Sura Books. The list prices are all inclusive and final. What you see on the product page is what you will have to pay.

Also, there are no hidden delivery charges. They are charged (if any) additionally, depending on shipping policy of the Seller.

 

Why the estimated time for delivery differs from one Seller to the other?

Most Sellers may have different estimated delivery times for the items. The delivery time depend on various factors like Sellers' geographic location, product availability, shipping destination, time-to-deliver by the courier partner in the said location, etc.

You can enter your default postal code (this need not be entered every time in our site) on the product page and get the accurate delivery time there on product page.

 

Why Seller cannot /does not ship items to my area?

Enter your postal code on product page (this need not be entered every time in our site) for knowing if the item can be delivered at your location. In case, you did not provide your postal code until the checkout level, the postal code present in the shipping address would be used for checking for serviceability. Availability of services in your area is entirely dependent on the below factors:

·        Whether the Seller ships items to your location

·        Whether there is any legal restrictions in shipping specific items to your location

·        Availability of a reputed and reliable courier partner in your area

At times, Sellers might not prefer to ship items to specific locations which is entirely their own decision.

 

Why CoD option is not offered at my area?

CoD availability depends entirely on our courier partner's ability in servicing your location and accepting cash payments during delivery. Courier partners do have certain limits on cash amount payable during delivery which in turn depends on the destination. Possibilities are that the order value might have exceeded the specified limit. Enter your postal code present on product page to check CoD option available in your area.

 

Not interested in an item. Need to return it. How to arrange for pick-up?

It is easy to return products. Contact us for initiating returns. Our customer care executive will call you to explain the entire process after the return is initiated.

Our Logistics arm is sure to facilitate pick-up wherever possible. If the pick-up is not done by our own Logistics arm, then the item can be returned through any Third Party Courier company. The Seller will bear the return fees.

 

‘In Stock’, ‘Available’: What do these tags mean?

'In Stock’

Items that are listed as ‘IN Stock’ have a delivery time mentioned by the Sellers based on the postal code of delivery location (generally 2 to 3 business days, 4 to 5 business days, or 4 to 6 business days at places where a standard courier provider is available). In case of other locations, orders are to be sent only by Registered Post via Indian Postal Service that might take about 1 to 2 weeks. This depends on the delivery area.

·        ‘Available’

At times, the seller might be out of stock; however they may be able to procure the item as soon as an order is placed. But, it is the estimated procurement and shipping time that will determine the actual delivery time to your area.

·        Forthcoming’ or ‘Preorder’

 

These products are expected to be released lately and you can pre-book them. The product would be shipped to your place as soon as the item is officially launched. It is likely to reach you between 2 - 6 business days. Pre-order time varies with each item. Once the release time is known, it will be mentioned in the website along with date and time. For instance: 6th March, September 2nd week.

·        ‘Out of Stock’

Presently, this product is unavailable for sale. Utilize ‘Notify Me’ feature for knowing when the product is available for purchase.

·        Temporary Unavailable

Items that are 'Temporarily Unavailable' are presently out of stock and unavailable for purchase. However, chances are that the item could be in stock very soon. Utilize 'Notify Me' feature for knowing its availability.

·        Back in Stock

These are popular sold out products. You can pre-book the item which would be shipped to you as per the Seller's mentioned timelines.

·        Permanently Discontinued

The item no longer exists with the Seller since its production is discontinued or obsolete.

·        Out of print

The item is no more available as it is permanently discontinued and no longer published.

 

Does SURABOOKS.COM deliver internationally?

Presently, SURABOOKS.COM delivers only within India. You can make purchases from our website from any place across the globe with Debits/Credit cards that are issued in India along with 21 other countries. However, the address, where the items are to be delivered needs to be in India.
