About the exam :

The civil service examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to higher civil services of the government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police service. Union public service commission now released notification for the civil service exam for the academic year. 

Age limit :

The minimum age limit is 21 and maximum age limit is 32 years

However age relaxation was applicable for reserved categories.

For general and Economically weaker section (EWS)  the upper age limit was 32 years and maximum number of attempt was 6

For OBC, Defence service personnel, Persons with Benchmark disability the  upper age limit was 35 and maximum number of attempts was 9, For SC/ST the upper age limit was 37 and there is no maximum limit(up to age limit)

Educational limit :

Must  be a graduate from recognized university.
