The exam is of moderate difficulty level and has two hours duration. Candidates of Tamil Nadu domicile and from other states can apply for TANCET exam.

TANCET exam will be held as a paper pen based test at exam centres to provide level playing field for the candidates coming form all the areas- urban and rural who may not have skills to appear in computer based tests
