Description about the Exam :

Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) were established under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, to impart quality education to ST children in remote areas. A notification was released by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs on April 1, 2021 to recruit Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) -Science for EMRS in 17 states across the country. Appointment of teaching staff will be done by the states, following respective state-specific reservation roster. TGTs will be recruited through a centralized computer based test. The last date for online submission of application has been extended till 30 June, 2021. The exam scheduled in the first week of June has been postponed until further notice.

Eligibility Criteria :

Age limit: The upper age limit for candidates is 35 years, as on 30 April, 2021. However, age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is permitted as per Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualification

1. Four years integrated Degree course in Science from Regional College of Education of NCERT with 50% marks in aggregate (Or)

Bachelor’s Degree in Science with any two of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology and Chemistry

1. B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized university
2. Pass in the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
3. Proficiencyto teach in Hindi and English medium

Exam Pattern :

The exam will be of objective type.The exam paper will comprise a total of 180 questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The sections included for the exam are General English, General Hindi, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Analytical Ability, Numerical Ability, Computer Literacy,Teaching Aptitude, Pedagogy and Subject Knowledge.100 questions will be framed from Subject Knowledge. Similarly, 20 questions from Teaching Aptitude/Pedagogy, 15 questions from Analytical Ability, 10 questions each from General English, General Hindi, General Knowledge & Current Affairs and Numerical Ability, 5 questions from Computer Literacy will be asked.Each question carries one mark. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
