About the exam :

Department of atomic energy(DAE) being a scientific organization  working in the advanced field of science and technology, DAE has followed a comprehensive policy to develop competent scientists, engineers and technical personnel to support its programmes. The recruitment of scientific and technical staff is generally carried out through a one-year stipendiary training scheme

BARC now released a notification for stipendiary trainee category 2 post. Candidates having qualification of HSC(science) or SSC followed by ITI certificate are also recruited under two-years stipendiary training  scheme (Category -2 ) and they are absorbed as technicians after successful completion of the training in the various facilities of DAE.

Educational qualification :

HSC or SSC plus ITI (2 years)

Age limit :

Maximum age limit for technician was 25 years

However age relaxation applicable for reserved categories.

Exam pattern :

Exam will be conducted in three phases- Preliminary test, Advanced test and Skill test

Preliminary test

Preliminary examination comprise of 50 multi choice questions

Matematics-20 questions

Science- 20 questions

General Awareness  - 10 questions

3 marks awarded for each correct answer and 1 mar to be deducted for each incorrect answer
